On Monday at LicensingLive! 2018 attendees will learn how a well-orchestrated software licensing solution can help them grow their businesses, gain new opportunities and future proof their businesses.


The gathering will attract more than 200 enterprise software professionals and executives to the Marriott San Jose Downtown.  The program on Nov. 12-13 features Joshua Bloom, partner at Simon Kucher & Parthers.  Josh is the global head of software, internet, and his presentation focuses on  “Getting the Competitive Advantage by Understanding the Difference between Pricing and Licensing.”  During his talk, Josh will address how successful companies can create simple licensing model choices while maintaining pricing flexibility.

Brendan O’Brien, chief innovation officer and a co-founder at Aria Systems and in his presentation he discusses how led led by companies like Netflix, Roku, Adobe, and Amazon Web Services (News - Alert), there’s been a massive adoption across virtually all industries of subscription and recurring monetization models.

Ray Wang of Constellation Research Inc. is also on the LicensingLive! 2018 speaker lineup. Ray will present on “Why Software License Management Is At the Heart of Monetizing Your Digital Business.”

Analyst Ray Wang is chairman and founder of Constellation Research. He's also the author of the popular business strategy and technology  blog "A Software Insider’s Point of View". With viewership in the 10's of millions of page views a year, his blog provides insight into how disruptive technologies and new business models such as digital transformation impact brands, enterprises, and organizations.  Ray is a favorite of Silicon Valley software executives and a popular speaker at LicensingLive!

Patty Cavers, Director Enterprise Applications at Aviat Networks presentation will review Aviat’s (News - Alert) journey to automate and simplify software licensing for our customers. The session will review requirements, decisions made, and current status on the path towards a fully automated software licensing platform for Aviat’s new products.  A must for anyone trying to decide to build their own licensing solution or buy one that is commercially available.

Liam Kiely, VP Technology and Strategy, Extreme Networks will provide a roadmap you can use as soon as you get back to work for your licensing transformation.  Liam states that one of the biggest mistakes in a licensing transformation project is to treat it as a technology project. It should be treated as a transformative program with the highest levels of executive buy-in. Liam Kiely, will talk about how their own licensing program and what it took to get the executive sponsorship it deserved.
