AOTMP, the authority on standards and best practices for telecom management and a provider of telecom certification, has announced their '2008 Wireless Mobility Market Landscape' is now available.
"This Market Landscape is intended to help enterprises better understand the critical aspects of wireless mobility management, and identify potential Suppliers to best meet enterprises' needs," said Joe Basili, Vice President of Research at AOTMP.
In response to recent research by AOTMP that found wireless mobility to be the greatest influencer on business strategy of all telecom technologies in 2008, the publication offers enterprises a definition of wireless mobility management as well as profiles of over fifty suppliers of wireless mobility management. The supplier profiles detail capabilities of the suppliers in helping enterprises to manage their wireless mobility. As well as outlines functions and offers enterprises a look at the capabilities they should be looking for when establishing a wireless mobility management program.
"Enterprises have different needs and wireless mobility suppliers have different strengths and weaknesses. Providing a scorecard of Suppliers would not account for the different needs in enterprise environments. The right choice for one may be a poor choice for another," said Basili
Available for download from www.aotmp.com, the publication was complied through surveys, follow-up interviews, briefings with enterprises and software demonstrated with wireless mobility management vendors.
"We received great response to our TEM Market Landscape last fall. To meet requests from the end user community, and to address the growing wireless needs of enterprises, we thought it necessary to publish a landscape dedicated to wireless mobility management," said Tim Lybrook, President and CEO of AOTMP. "We continue to see wireless as a priority for enterprises in our research, as well as in our conferences and certification programs. Our TEM 2008 conference in Orlando, FL next month will have a strong focus on wireless mobility, and offer live polling, benchmarking, and other opportunities to find out how other enterprises are addressing wireless mobility."
