Rivermine Wins 2007 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award for its Telecom Expense Management Solution

Telecom expense management software company Rivermine has won a 2007 Product of the Year award from Unified Communications (News - Alert) magazine for its Rivermine 5.0 solution.
This award is bestowed upon companies that brought ground-breaking advancements to unified communications (UC) technologies during the past year. The winners are decided by Unified Communications magazine, published by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC).
Rivermine’s (News - Alert) software provides a unified way to gain visibility into and control over nearly all aspects of telecom expense management—both wireless and wireline.
It’s the latest version of automated solution, 5.0, Rivermine provides customers with a solution that enables making decisions such as whether or not to change portions of network to new technologies like VoIP

, whether or not to change to a new carrier rate plan, and others.
This new version allows customers to run comparisons of TEM performance versus peers in the industry, support international initiatives and optimize wireless spend. Rivermine 5.0 is available either as a managed service or as software that can be deployed on- premise.
Also, Rivermine 5.0 features Rivermine Clarity Decision Engine, which enables organization to perform automatic benchmark measurements and a wide variety of network optimization analysis.
In addition, Rivermine 5.0 includes a host of new features to support international TEM initiatives across areas such as invoice management, financial and contract management, inventory tracking, and management of service orders. Rivermine 5.0 supports more than 100 different currency types, and has the ability to automatically or manually upload exchange rates.
Additionally, version 5.0 of the software provides improved dispute management capabilities have been integrated with the telco interface to provide automated updates from the carrier for logged issues and disputes. Call accounting functionality provides visibility into telecom spend from high-level management dashboards to detailed call record analysis.
Winners of 2007 Product of the Year Awards will be featured in the March 2008 issue of Unified Communications magazine.
“Unified Communications magazine bestows Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements,” Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), president and group editor-in-chief of Unified Communications at TMC, said in a statement announcing the winners.
He also noted that these winners have demonstrated to the editors of Unified Communications that their products or services have gone the extra mile to help improve both the customer experience and the ROI for the companies that use them.
