Successful companies that understand the market they serve and are able to stay nimble and innovative in response to changing customer needs typically are able to continue being successful even during times when the economic climate it less than ideal. It helps if a company offers a product or service that its customers can use to save money themselves.
Both of those factors ring true for Rivermine, a provider of automated telecom expense management (TEM) solutions. Since TEM is about saving enterprises money, that’s one vote in favor of continued success. And clearly, given recent financial results, Rivermine (News - Alert) is doing more than simply offering more than just a money-saving service: it’s continuing to do so in an innovative, responsive way.
For the first half of 2008, Rivermine reported 180 percent year-to-year sales growth. Of that growth, 126 percent was attributed to organic growth. The company signed 66 deals with both existing and new customers — including seven Fortune 500 firms.
Rivermine’s organic growth achievements so far during 2008 also included a June contract with the U.S. Postal Service, which picked the company to deploy TEM for its nationwide data network.
Also this year, Rivermine was given a “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s (News - Alert) MarketScope for Telecom Expense Management Worldwide 2007 report, and earned two “Product of the Year” awards from Technology Marketing Corporation publications, and launched two new products (Rivermine 6.0 and eXPERTSolutions).
The remainder of Rivermine’s growth was attributed to its merger with BBR Wireless Management (News - Alert). The mixture of organic and inorganic growth demonstrates the company’s commitment to serving its target market in the best way possible, and taking all necessary steps to do so.
“Industry analysts have confirmed that this is the highest growth rate of any TEM vendor,” said Mark Logan (News - Alert), president and CEO at Rivermine, in a statement. “We are seeing strong demand for our solution in this difficult economic environment since Rivermine can help companies reduce their telecom and wireless device spending by millions of dollars per year.”
