KPN Sweetens Services with New RTC API Store

As Enterprise Connect (News - Alert) brings the top technology and telco companies together in their annual conference and expo, announcements about new products, services and technology partnerships abound.

One announcement that captured our attention today is one that blurs the line between tech and telco. As the real time communications (RTC) industries continues to move applications to the cloud, Ribbon Communications revealed today in a press release that it continues to work with tier-one operators, including KPN (News - Alert) (based in the Netherlands) by providing software that embeds digital communications into websites, apps and business processes.

Kandy, a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), which was one of the first introduced as new standards, including WebRTC came to market, allows KPN and other Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to offer their customers access intuitive collaboration services that can be embedded into mobile and online experiences.  

KPN is leveraging Kandy (News - Alert) for point-to-point WebRTC voice and video capabilities in their new API Store, which provides a portfolio of reliable and secure APIs for both consumer and business-to-business markets.

The key focus areas are communication, authentication, and security.

The API Store offers both KPN and KPN partners’ APIs that help businesses move up the innovation curve, transform processes, and increase customer satisfaction.

The API Store is made by developers for developers. The APIs of KPN and its partners are easy to try, to use and to manage in a secure way.
