Consumer Voice over IP Strongest in Europe: Report

A new market research report, “Europe Leads the Booming Consumer VoIP Market,” notes that consumer Voice over IP has grown substantially over the years with a forecast that 38 percent of broadband households worldwide will subscribe to VoIP services by 2011.
The report, which examines the market for consumer VoIP services across the globe, also suggests that over the next five years, consumer VoIP revenue will grow from $15 billion to nearly $44 billion.
In addition to the findings, the report also provides analysis on market factors impacting consumer VoIP adoption as well as other in-depth information to provider an end-to-end understanding of the consumer VoIP markets.
Another recently released report from Research and Markets also notes that the VoIP market has continued to grow in 2009 despite the recession.
Even with a tough economic climate, the report notes that technological improvements are helping to keep the market successful.
Benefits such as improved cost savings and improved business communications with VoIP are also a strong point for companies to continue investing in IP networks.
