Quintum (News - Alert) Technologies, an innovator in VoIP technologies and a subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert), today announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Partner of the Year award in OEM Hardware Solutions, Device Manufacturing.
“Quintum has worked closely with Microsoft (News - Alert) as they continue to roll out their unified communications solutions to their customers,” said Chuck Rutledge, vice president of Marketing for Quintum.
The awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 entrants worldwide.
The OEM Hardware Solutions, Device Manufacturing Partner of the Year award is designed to recognize independent hardware vendors or original device manufacturers who design and develop hardware peripheral and device solutions that use Microsoft technologies to create superior customer value.
“We are pleased that Microsoft has recognized our efforts to deliver innovative capabilities in our Tenor product line that address the needs of customers integrating Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) into their networks,” said Rutledge.
The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.
Quintum’s Tenor VoIP MultiPath Switches and Gateways include a variety of features designed to simplify the integration of Microsoft’s Office Communications Server 2007 with a customer’s existing voice network, according to Rutledge. These features include its MultiPath call routing for “drop in” installation and a Unified Communications Proxy (UCP) that supports capabilities such as SIP-to-SIP mediation.
“Partners are critical to delivering rich business solutions and innovative excellence to customers,” said Allison Watson, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft. “Congratulations to the 2008 Partner Award winners who have each demonstrated innovation beyond measure and an unswerving commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction. We look forward to these partners continuing to raise the bar in the design and deployment of customer solutions built on Microsoft technologies.”
Tenors support ‘any to any’ switching to allow integration into existing voice networks’ legacy TDM equipment, SIP equipment or both. The Tenor Hybrid is Microsoft Mediation Server ready providing a single box solution that integrates the Unified Communications Mediation Server with Tenor’s VoIP gateway capabilities. For complete customer support, Quintum developed a customized Microsoft configuration wizard and a Total Care Package.
Elka Popova, global program director of Enterprise Communications (News - Alert) at Frost & Sullivan said Quintum has proven that they continue to lead the market with innovation that addresses the needs of their customers.
The Tenor Hybrid, given its unique capabilities and role in the UC environment, is certainly a solution that will resonate with enterprises deploying OCS2007,” said Popova
