It’s common to hear the term ‘wireless’ being used to describe telecommunications solutions where electromagnetic waves carry a signal over part or all of a communication path. Over time, wireless connectivity has improved to connect with devices as far as thousands of miles away. Wireless connectivity encompasses everything from tablets, to smartphones, GPS – even the simplest of devices such as keyboards and computer mice come with wireless capabilities.
Recently, ABI Research (News - Alert) said that wireless connectivity is “highly complementary” and is being adopted in many different platforms from Wi-Fi to Bluetooth. “[Wireless connectivity] is stretching their use cases, working faster, using less power, and working in new modes..”
HUBER+SUHNER has been working hard to enhance users wireless connectivity to create more complex equipment that takes up less space, while providing more services. The company created a new line of products under the name MASTERLINE which are extreme hybrid products that are “tailored for mobile operators who do not have [their] own tower infrastructure but rent the majority of their tower cell sites…The hybrid solution minimizes the annually recurring rental fee at the one-time cost of a more expensive and complex cable infrastructure,” according to the company.
The company has developed a new MASTERLINE extreme hybrid cable that has been designed to help eliminate the amount of wires being run to a tower site. This compact divider “splits the multi fiber/wire cable into individual ruggedized outdoor cables which are linked to RRHs,” said HUBER+SUHNER. The new extreme hybrid cables can connect with a base station, increasing the productivity of any device with wireless capabilities.
The wireless connectivity provider has a large portfolio of brand new cables that are all personalized depending on the connection needed. Its smallest wire has a 3/3 configuration – while it’s largest in the product line offers a 5/6 configuration. However, the company went even a step further and powers a fully customizable set of hybrid solutions that can be designed to cater any businesses needs.
These cables are suitable for almost any installation location including duct, conduits, aria, exposed runs, cable trays, and even underground. The MASTERLINE extreme does not need any specific tools for installation, allowing for very little maintenance.
