IBM (News - Alert) introduces a new cloud-based and on premise software to help organizations deepen engagement with their partners and suppliers.

The new partner and supplier engagement software enables IBM’s clients to understand and control their external business relationships, while reducing associated risks and increasing collaboration.

The new offering is about helping clients continuously reinvent themselves, and further extending IBM's leadership in enabling an adaptive value chain.

The new software tightens synchronization across their extended ecosystem, ensuring these complex networks of third-party relationships boost their ability to innovate and gain a competitive advantage. IT further extends IBM's leadership in enabling an adaptive value chain, where it is already helping 160,000 global businesses manage the flow of critical corporate data and mitigate organizational risk.

New capabilities of IBM's Smarter Commerce helps to improve understanding of customer relationships and regularly monitor trends in employee, customer, supplier and partner engagement, and make use of mobile and social media to deliver better customer experience.

The company is aiming to bring similar levels of customer insight to the B2B sector.  The new announcement features new cloud-based and on premise supplier and partner engagement capabilities that drive better collaboration for faster time to value, deeper insights for better decision making, lower risk and enhanced compliance, faster and more efficient data sharing.

The IBM Multi-Enterprise Relationship Management (MRM) platform enables large organizations to connect and manage shared business processes across a variety of business communities in their ecosystem.
