TIM Introduces Personal Cloud Service Powered by Funambol

White-label personal cloud provider Funambol (News - Alert) and Brazilian mobile operator TIM have launched the TIM Protect Backup service.
The TIM Protect Backup service, powered by Funambol, claims to improve the digital lives of TIM Brazil customers.
The personal cloud service can secures user data (contacts and calendars), rich media (pictures, videos and music) and files in the cloud, syncs these across mobile devices and computers, and allows sharing via email and social networks.
Just like other nations in the world, Brazil has been experiencing positive trends in technology specifically adopting smartphones, tablets and personal computers.
The service supports all popular smartphones, tablets and personal computers. It is managed by FS VAS, a premier provider of mobile value added services in South America. The data is stored in Brazil with AWS technology.

TIM launched the Protect Backup service that established a personal account in the cloud for each user to store all of the important data and content on their mobile devices and computers. As people acquire additional devices or upgrade to newer models, it is crucial to ensure their valued data and content are secure.
