Interoute, owner operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform, has announced the launch of Interoute One Bridge, a device agnostic platform which aims to enable seamless connection for voice and video conferencing.

The service enables everyone to join video and voice conference calls on any device, from anywhere.

Interoute One Bridge incorporates both WebRTC technology as well as Interoute's SIP trunking capabilities to combine voice and video services into the same conference. The device will enable users who do not have access to video services from their location will still be able to get in on the audio portion of the conference and make their voice heard.

Mark Lewis (News - Alert), vice president architecture and services development at Interoute, told Enterprise AppsTech that the platform is “the final piece in pulling together our whole communications suite.”

The platform also allows for an unlimited number of virtual meeting rooms to hold multiple simultaneous conferences with, ensuring that every employee has their own meeting room address available.

“What this gives us is an ability to start pulling these things together, at least for the enterprise but also from a perspective of device,” Lewis said.

For us it’s the beginning of what we’re calling Unified Communications (News - Alert) as a service,” he added.

The company has launched this product internally in April, with more than 40 ‘existing and potential customers using it, and over $340,000 in sales closed already, Interoute is choosing not to bundle One Bridge in with existing assets for now.

Interoute One Bridge could improve both employee productivity through always-on connection and employee happiness, through flexible working hours and not being beholden to office rigmarole.

“Rather than get an email in my inbox which I might have responded to in the cab on the way home, I was able to actually knock it on the head, have the conversation  there and then with the people who were affected, and move on,” Lewis said.
