Avaya (News
- Alert), a provider of business collaboration and communications solutions, recently announced that it has been named 2014 Nemertes PilotHouse Top Provider for Video Conferencing for the enterprise. Industry analyst firm Nemertes Research gave Avaya high marks in value and technology.
"The fast, multi-channel, virtual pace of business today requires powerful collaboration tools that easily fit a mobile lifestyle,” says Gary Barnett (News - Alert), SVP and president of Collaboration at Avaya. “Avaya's video conferencing portfolio has been tested by some pretty tough critics who experience this every day: our own employees who are clocking over 50,000 video conferences each month. It's especially gratifying to see that sentiment reflected by our customers and to be recognized as the Nemertes Pilothouse Top Provider."
Avaya provides unified communications, contact centers, networking and related services to companies of all sizes around the world. The company was awarded on the basis of feedback of 500 IT decision makers using collaboration technologies.
In related news, Avaya recently announced that it has made some changes to its Avaya Connect Channel Partner program. The program changes are expected to help channel partners distinguish themselves based on their expertise and ensure high quality customer experience, end-to-end. The changes are expected to go into effect October 1, 2014.
The officials from Avaya said that the company has changed the criteria of achieving Silver, Gold and Platinum level status. Moreover, six new Solution Experts designations have been introduced, including enterprise unified communications and contact center, midmarket unified communications and contact center, networking and video.
Now, the companies that are seeking to achieve Expert designation will have to meet the set requirements in sales and design as well as achieve certain revenue thresholds. Also, the Silver, Gold and Platinum level status will be determined based on the number of Solution Expert designations achieved by each partner company.
