When was the last time you were on a conferencing call where everything worked perfectly? Depending upon the platform used, the number of people involved, the types of devices everyone prefers and more, the variables involved have the potential to lead to disaster. With collaboration a priority and control of the travel budget a must, the pressure to secure the right conferencing solution is more intense than it’s likely been in the past.

We all know that the right conferencing situation is one that includes high quality audio, access to clear video and the potential to be clearly heard if you have input or a question. The more people and locations involved in the interaction, the harder these goals are to achieve. Therefore, it takes more than just the right tools and policies in place to ensure the optimal conferencing experience. It may be time for a huddle room.

The huddle room is the environment popping up in organizations throughout the country where clear collaboration is a top priority. These rooms tend to be informal meetings that take place in the more casual workspace. The primary investment is made in audio as it is critical to the success of the huddle room collaboration. There are two offerings from conferencing solutions provider Revolabs (News - Alert) that have been proven to be better suited for the huddle type of environment.

According to this Revolabs page, the conferencing speakerphone with VoIP and USB connections is the ideal way to go in the huddle room. The company’s newest line of unified communications speakerphones is designed to simplify the linking of VoIP and USB calls to all conferences. Crystal clear audio is enabled through four built-in microphones that ensure a full, 360-degree coverage of audio capture. The solution also provides for fully integrated Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC).

The wireless conference phone allows for the elimination of cables and cords through the FLX wireless conference phones and tabletop microphone. Those running or participating in the conference in the huddle room have the opportunity to move around the room to communicate and collaborate without the potential to damage the audio quality needed to ensure the optimal experience for all involved.

For conferencing to be effective, it not only needs to be readily accessible, easy to use and offer clear communications, it also needs to fit the culture of the environment in which it is taking place. The huddle room is a great way to incorporate casual communications. Just be sure to have Revolabs solutions on hand to optimize the experience.
