January 19, 2017
A recent report by Wainhouse (News - Alert) Research revealed 87 percent of remote workers are in agreement when it comes to video conferencing making them more efficient and productive. The report also highlighted the technology doesn't alienate or disconnect them from their colleagues. With an increasing number of the workforce now working remotely, video conferencing is providing benefits for both the employer and employee. Firms like Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) are analyzing the market and recognizing providers that deliver the best-in-class solutions so organizations can make informed decisions. After analyzing the managed video conferencing services market, the 2016 North American Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award was given to AVI-SPL for its end-to-end video conferencing solutions.
AVI-SPL (News - Alert) designs, builds, integrates and supports systems and environments to enable communication and collaboration with greater ease, so organizations can carry on with the task at hand instead of worrying about how to make the supporting technology work. Frost & Sullivan recognized the company's wide range of collaboration solutions, including its Symphony Platform.
“AVI-SPL's cornerstone technology is its Symphony Platform, which offers a range of value-added features and services including monitoring and management, scheduling, and actionable analytics on usage and a rich admin dashboard. It adapts to customers' workflows so there is no need for an overhaul of existing processes,” said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Roopam Jain.
The Company of the Year Award is given by Frost & Sullivan every year to the organization that has achieved excellence with proven growth strategy and implementation. According to the firm, a company is recognized when it demonstrates a high degree of innovation with the products and technologies it has developed in its segment. This results in a leadership position because of the value it provides to customers and the growth it has experienced in the market.
Frost & Sullivan stated that AVI-SPL was able to grow quickly by making investments in next-generation collaboration software and services, and balancing its core systems integration business. This includes taking a measured approach to video conferencing with a comprehensive and flexible strategy to supply organizations that need this technology.
Some of the services that were highlighted include: round-the-clock monitoring of AV and video collaboration systems with comprehensive remote managed services; deploying and managing customer's infrastructure on premises; and end-to-end management of video conferencing, from launch to video support calls.
The numbers for AVI-SPL were impressive for 2015, including double the industry average in bookings with 20 percent growth along with more than 50 percent of those bookings coming from video conferencing related services. A third of these video related services were cloud-based and the company didn't slow down, as the first half of 2016 saw a 112 percent year-on-year growth for its cloud delivery platform.
