Feyen Zylstra (FZ) is a privately held company specializing in the design, installation and maintenance of electrical, low voltage and automated systems. The company provides solutions for some of the largest public and private organizations in the country, and as these organizations started using conferencing technology, FZ has made the decision to start providing the audio and video hardware by entering into partnership with Phoenix Audio Technologies (News - Alert).

According to MarketsandMarkets, the enterprise video market with delivery mode for Web conferencing, Web casting, video conferencing and video streaming, as well as applications, is expected to grow to $36.84 billion by 2020, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.7 percent for the forecast period of 2015 to 2020. The growth in enterprise video technologies and services is being driven by the collaborative environment that is now part of the vast majority of organizations.

As part of this partnership, Phoenix Audio Technologies is going to provide the high end audio the company designs and manufactures. This includes its own propriety audio algorithms that improve the communication experience in conference settings so participants can speak freely and naturally and also be able to hear everyone.

Phoenix Audio is going to serve as the audio endpoints for all of the future projects for FZ, and as John Riley, Feyen Zylstra Director of AV Services stated, “A great tool for AV/IT Integration, the Phoenix Audio solutions bring quality audio into conferencing spaces that traditional conference phones cannot provide. Our experience with the Condor and Spider confirms that the customer’s facilities department admires the aesthetics of the products within the spaces and the IT department understands how it works with their network and telephony.”

Condor is a system with a built-in SIP phone and 48-inch wide multi-microphone array with a pickup range of up to 30 feet. According to the company, the Condor Beamforming Microphone Array is designed to declutter conference rooms by sitting above or below your monitor to connect easily with any video conferencing system.

The system has a 15-microphone array with seven directional beams with Constant Beamwidth design and a DSP based noise canceling, echo canceling, AGC, and De-reverb algorithm to ensure the best sound possible during conferences. The built-in SIP phone provides automatic bridging between the IP phone and USB communication along with Plug-and-Play capabilities eliminating the need to install or add drivers.

Jonathan Boaz, Phoenix Audio VP of Sales, said, “Feyen Zylstra will introduce our products to a new market segment and allow end users to design their collaboration environments with the technology that will complete the room in mind.”
