Digital Samba Adds Features to Conferencing Platform

Digital Samba provides an enterprise browser and mobile all-in-one white-labeled Web conferencing solution that has more than 100 different features designed to integrate functionalities that are essential during collaborations. It allows screen and file sharing, messaging, chat, file converter, real-time polling module and much more. If the hundred plus features weren't enough, Digital Samba just added more options in the latest version of OnSync 5.0.6.

The new additions come just three months after OnSync 5.0.5 was released in December 2016, which at the time added the ability to choose the codecs that are being used so session quality levels can be set to optimize OnSync in extreme bandwidth situations when audio or video conferencing is taking place. According to the company, this time around the improvements in 5.0.6 will deliver better usability, functionality, performance and control as well as resolve some issues with timely fixes.

OnSync is browser-based, cross-platform and mobile, which eliminates the limitations of on-premises installations with propriety based systems that are complicated and expensive. All you need with OnSync is a browser enabled device to enter a private online meeting room and start participating in an audio or video conference from virtually anywhere.

With 5.0.6, administrators will have more control with a much improved dashboard. Storage details can now be clicked with displays that provide a percentage of contracted file storage and a percentage of contracted recording storage. For providers that use OnSync as a white-label solution, this can come in handy for value added services.

Some of the other new features on the backend are: a notification that mail is being delivered when scheduling an event, the ability to define panel sets and workspaces through API, audit logs that provide more information about users, a server configuration property that determines whether a user's role change persists between logins, and a confirmation email before changing email address in AC.

Improvements in the user experience include more space for content with a new flat user interface, design changes to simplify usability, telephone audio supported lobby, and a MP4 recorder that checks to see if your PC meets the minimum requirements.

Digital Samba also announced several fixes. This includes resolving the issue of where the schedule could not be sorted by date, inconsistent session start time that was set for an invited user who is on DST, session registration page was not deactivated when the session owner is already deleted, and others.
