Pexip has announced that it is in development to deliver standards-based Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC) inoperability. It is being designed to mesh with Microsoft (News - Alert) Teams. Those seeking to conference will now have access to audio, video, and content sharing; the complete high-tech meeting experience.
“We are excited to collaborate with Microsoft to provide a VTC interoperability solution for Microsoft Teams, and to be an integral member of the Microsoft Teams eco system. Video-based communications are a fundamental component of the modern workplace and Microsoft Teams is set to be the next big thing in collaboration,” according to Åsmund O. Fodstad, Pexip CEO.
The goal is to ensure ease of use so that the customer is satisfied and will continue to appreciate the business. The meetings will operate and feel like any other VTC meeting but designed specifically for large business enterprises.
There is no business too big or too small, for that matter as it can be tailored to any size company in need of a proper VTC inoperability. Says said Tiffany Wissner, senior director, Skype (News - Alert) Partner Marketing for Microsoft Corp, “We are very excited to further strengthen our relationship with Pexip and look forward to enabling our customers to use the Pexip Infinity Fusion gateway to allow their VTC users to join Microsoft Teams meetings.”
Adding VTC will be a huge yet profitable move and great for businesses who aim to hold the ultimate in large meetings, valuing efficiency, audio, video, and content sharing. It will be interesting to see what happens when Pexip’s vision comes to fruition in the near future as it just held a meeting in Orlando.
