This week, TrueConf announced it is moving to ultra high definition videoconferencing. HD video calls replicate real-life conversations with mimics, emotions and gestures. Video call resolution is automatically adjusted based on endpoint capabilities and network conditions. Videoconferencing is available over LAN, VPN, Internet, and in the cloud.

For Ultra HD calls, both sides must use 6th generation Intel (News - Alert) Core i7+ processor-based PC, a 4K webcam, an Ultra HD monitor and a high-speed network connection. The connection needs to be 8 Mbps for both connected. Once implemented, the client application automatically moves to 4K resolution (3840x2160 at 30 fps).

“Today video conferencing is quickly developing together with new AV technologies. In 2015, we pioneered 4K group video conferences at Integrated Systems Europe show in Amsterdam. A year later, at ISE 2016, TrueConf engineers together with Panasonic (News - Alert) and Nvidia showcased the world’s first Ultra HD point-to-point video call. Now we make it possible for our users to enjoy Ultra HD video calls for free,” shared Dmitry Odintsov, TrueConf CBDO.

TrueConf offers free client applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android (News - Alert) and iOS.

Additional services from TrueConf include videoconferencing integration specialized for banking systems (video ATMs), call-centers, and support. It also develops solutions used in education and healthcare, with videoconferencing integrated into distance learning programs.

All of TrueConf’s services, including TrueConf Online, videoconferencing service, TrueConf Server, and TrueConf Server Free, support Ultra HD (4K) video calls and group videoconferencing.
