Lumos Networks Corp., a fiber-based service provider of data, voice and IP-based telecommunication services in the Mid-Atlantic region, will provide fiber connectivity to DC Corp’s data center, located in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Lumos Networks serves carrier and enterprise customers offering end to end connectivity in 23 markets in Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Kentucky. With a fiber network of 7,548 fiber route miles, Lumos Networks currently connects to 673 Fiber to the Cell sites, 15 data centers and 1,420 on-net buildings. DC Corp’s data center will be the sixteenth commercial data centers within its fiber footprint. DC Corp fully-customizable data center space includes a conference center and office space resources to meet all operational needs.

We expect that existing, planned and prospective entities within and outside of our footprint will come to utilize this Custom Hybrid Data Facility so strategically located.”
In related news, Lumos Networks Corp. recently expanded its services to Spilman, Thomas & Battle ("Spilman"), a full service regional law firm with locations in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia. Lumos Networks customized a Metro Ethernet solution to provide reliable, high-speed networked communication among Spilman's seven sites and is in the process of migrating the firm from a PRI line to SIP trunking for improved voice traffic. Spilman has been a customer of the company since 2002.
