iSchool Campus Secures Deal To Deploy SmartSchool In Utah Schools

iSchool Campus recently announced that it has secured a deal from Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) to deploy the “SmartSchool Technology Pilot Program” across all public schools in Utah. SmartSchool technology from iSchool Campus promises seamless transition into advanced digital learning requirements of modern day schools. The current deal is an extension to the existing deal signed in 2012 between iSchool Campus and GOED to implement advanced technology in the education system.

In a release, Mr Spencer Eccles of GOED said, "GOED is pleased to continue the partnership with USOE and iSchool Campus; together we look forward to fulfilling the mandate to educate a productive workforce that will keep Utah's economic future bright. We believe the Smart School model represents the future of education, and will provide Utah students with the skills and experience they need to thrive in the competitive digital economy they will enter.”

As part of the deal, iSchool Campus will deploy one-to-one tablet in classrooms with highly secured networking capability irrespective of the device being used outside the school campus. It will also provide access to educational material independent of internet availability and patented software to provide real-time collaboration for instant messaging, textbooks, and analytics. Other features include extensive professional development tools for staff and parents, interactive flat screen televisions, round-the-clock telephone support and integrated advanced wireless technology.

The first phase of SmartSchool Technology implementation in Utah was well received by schools, students and parents.
