pbxnsip and Cypad Implement Data Collection Server

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

SIP-based IP PBX software provider pbxnsip (News - Alert) today announced that Cypad, a food data collection agency for the education market, has implemented its software for data collection.

According to the Massachusetts-based pbxnsip, utilizing pbxnsip software with Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server and Microsoft SQL server, is providing Cypad with the capabilities to open new avenues in cost and time saving activities for schools and local authorities.

This platform – available for Microsoft Windows, MAC and Linux environments – is scalable, robust and future proof and furthermore can service and support 1000’s of schools in handling their food management.

“Cypad Data Collection Server has proved very popular since its release and we have had to increase the number of lines used several times,” said John Fredericks, director at Cypad.

The introduction of these new developments is expected to further enhance Cypad’s position in the food data collection in the educational field. “We have had a lot of very positive feedback from both the actual users of the system and as importantly the school caterers who ultimately make use of the data,” said Fredericks.

Before the advent of the Cypad Data Collection Server, data logging often entailed pen and paper. In fact, traditionally schools would document and post the information back to the data collection agency or call a number of single analogue lines attended by an operator and would manually document the information and enter it into a basic data analysis program.

However, the Cypad Data Collection Server is eliminating delays, data errors and the engaged phone lines. Instead, users now have available a bespoke IVR system which enables fast and accurate collect data from the actual user.

Jonathan Greenwood, CEO of pbxnsip, said pbxnsip worked “so well with Office Communications Server and MS SQL to provide a full solution for Cypad.”
