Market Research recently completed and published a report that is estimating the Global Embedded System market to reach as much as $194.27 billion by 2018. If the forecast is true, the market would see a 6.8 percent increase in revenue within a six-year period.
The report suggests that the increase in demand for smart devices, smart meters, and multicore processors are factors that have made the market increase exponentially since 2012.

Finally, M2M technology is being used by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to allow GPS-equipped mobile devices for Bypass Transponders. The transponders are used to allow supply trucks to move on past inspection sites.
The new technology will allow more to participate in the program, as more trucks would be able to be checked at a much quicker rate, without having to stop for an inspection.
