Finally, M2M technology is being used by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to allow GPS-equipped mobile devices for Bypass Transponders. The transponders are used to allow supply trucks to move on past inspection sites.

The new technology will allow more to participate in the program, as more trucks would be able to be checked at a much quicker rate, without having to stop for an inspection.
