It’s the weekend and with it comes a little more time to relax and browse some of the stories you might have missed this week. Check out the highlights on embedded M2M solutions news below.

This week, ThingWorx attended ITEXPO (News - Alert) to discuss how M2M technology can change the way devices are able to communicate with one another. Christopher Kuntz, director of marketing, and Stacey Schwind, marketing coordinator, both spoke about the multiple uses for M2M.

During their panel, Schwind and Kuntz presented the attendees with the questions: How can companies drive business values from this, what’s the real business value, and how do we actually realize that value?

“Exciting things are happening. We’re happy, and we’re excited about the maturation of the space,” said Kuntz.

Also speaking out at ITEXPO Las Vegas was Sprint (News - Alert). The telecommunications provider discussed the differences and uses for 2G, 4G, LTE, and M2M solutions.

“We have sufficient spectrum now that the SoftBank acquisition has gone through,” said Russell Mosburg, director of M2M Solutions Engineering, Emerging Solutions Group, Sprint. “It’s all about what you are trying to do and how we can help you.”

Sprint said the future is endless with plans to take the technology to the next level to help create a real lifestyle impact for its subscribers.

Finally, this week IAR Systems, a supplier of software tools for developing embedded systems applications, has confirmed that it will be in attendance at the Embedded Systems Conference in Brazil.
