YouMail Releases Latest Update to Android Visual Voicemail Plus for BlackBerry and iPhone
YouMail, a provider of cloud-based communications apps and services for smartphones, announced the launch of the latest update to its Android (News - Alert) Visual Voicemail Plus application.
The company recently announced upgrades to both BlackBerry and iPhone for significantly extending YouMail’s (News - Alert) Android user experience to make it both more fun and useful.
In its Blackberry upgrade, the company announced the innovative In-App Community Greetings and Number Search. Leveraging the latest version of the application, users can browse, search, and add to YouMail’s set of tens of thousands of user-provided greetings. Users need a few taps to find the perfect community greeting that best fits their mood.
“At its foundation, YouMail has always had a very rich Web-based experience for computer users,” said CEO Alex Quilici (News - Alert), in a statement.
“With over two million downloads of our handset apps, and a growing community of Android users, we’ve now carried much of that experience over to each of the mobile apps across what are now the ‘Big Three’ smartphone platforms – iPhone, BlackBerry (News
- Alert), and now Android,” Quilici added.
YouMail has baked mobile search into the app itself. YouMail user needs to select the new magnifying glass on the voicemail playing page to search for more info on the caller’s phone number, or select the city/state of the caller to see a map of that location.
The company has made the new application available in both the Android Market and Amazon’s Appstore for Android.
YouMail consistently ranks among the top communications apps in both Android stores, which are among the fastest-growing drivers for YouMail’s overall downloads.
