CompanionLink offers two methods of synchronizing between the desktop and Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus. Company officials said that the two methods are secure wired sync and wireless sync.
Wired sync with Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus uses the USB cable that comes with the phone to connect with a PC for two-way backup of data, while wireless sync with Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus moves PC contacts and calendar to a Google account.
Next, it works with Palm Synergy (News - Alert) to synchronize with the built-in address book and calendar apps on the Palm phone.
CompanionLink Software is a developer of data synchronization solutions for mobile phones and customer relationship management software and services.
Earlier this month, the company announced shipment of synchronization for Microsoft Exchange calendar and Google’s (News - Alert) Nexus One. In addition to calendar sync, the company’s products handle tasks, notes and contacts for the smartphone.
