Iron Bow's Contract with U.S Army Gets Extended

By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor

Iron Bow Technologies LLC, an information technology solutions provider, recently announced in a press release that it will continue to provide advanced IT services and products to the United States Army. The company’s Information Technology Enterprise Solution -- 2 Hardware (ITES-2H) contract by U.S. Army has been extended by 18.5 months, and now will end in August 2013.

Leveraging its association with leading technology partners, Iron Bow will provide the U.S. Army with servers, workstations, storage systems, networking equipment, video teleconferencing equipment and other solutions. Moreover, the company will also keep providing technical support and other services to the U.S Army.

"Today's military relies on best of breed IT hardware and services to keep the warfighter connected and decision makers informed, both at home and abroad," said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO of Iron Bow. "As an ITES-2H contract holder, Iron Bow has provided in excess of $1.1 billion in technology solutions to the DoD from across our extensive portfolio of solutions. The extension of ITES-2H will ensure the technologies that power our military are available to the Army now and in the future."

Meanwhile, Iron Bow Technologies recently earned an advanced certification, the Managed Services Advanced Channel Partner (News - Alert) certification, from networking giant Cisco Systems. This qualifies Iron Bow for selling and delivering Cisco-based Managed Services. Iron Bow’s advanced managed services offerings are aimed at helping customers increase operational efficiency, drive productivity and lower costs. According to Rene LaVigne, president and CEO of Iron Bow, many organizations – both in public and private sectors – are looking for trusted partners that can provide monitoring and support for their IT infrastructures. Being a Cisco (News - Alert) Managed Services Advanced Channel Partner, the company is now able to remotely manage and maintain its customers’ systems so that they can focus more on their core business.
