Open-Xchange Intros Simplified SaaS Partner Pricing

By Anamika Singh, TMCnet Contributor

Open-Xchange, innovator of scalable and integrated open source e-mail and collaboration solutions, has announced that it has simplified pricing for its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) e-mail and collaboration alternative to Microsoft Exchange.

The new OXrate pricing program has five SaaS partner levels based on the providers' customer base which ranges from less than 1,000 to more than 250,000 customers. Each level offers two options of pricing, flat rate and guaranteed revenue.

'Hosting and service providers can quickly grow their business by selling additional groupware and mobility features on top of Open-Xchange webmail to existing and new customers,' stated Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. 'Open-Xchange helps service providers to remain competitive against Microsoft, Google (News - Alert) and Yahoo Mail, build ARPU (average revenue per user) and enhance stickiness of their services.'

The first pricing option is basically for partners looking for an aggressive marketing approach. Partners will receive a flat rate for the first year, to sell an unlimited number of groupware subscriptions without extra fees. The second option is for partners who only guarantee a moderate minimum revenue per year, and they will receive a discount ranging from 25 to 38 percent on standard rates.

In both pricing options, partners receive Open-Xchange Webmail and PIM (personal information manager).

With recently introduced 'Social OX' features, Open-Xchange also gives users the ability to consolidate webmail accounts into a folder in Open-Xchange. Also, contact details from social networks such as Facebook (News - Alert), LinkedIn or Xing can be added automatically to the Open-Xchange address book.

Open-Xchange has increased the number of users by 80 percent to over 15 million in 2009 .The key to this success is its partners offering Open-Xchange as Software-as-a-service to their customers. Areas which brought success are, business customers and individual power users seek business-class e-mail and groupware that meet the increased demands of their business; in times of tight budgets, accurate and predictable costs are extremely important. Take advantage of your existing infrastructure to get new customers with an attractive and modern webmail platform and advanced services.

Open-Xchange distribute its solutions through system integrators and SaaS providers. With the new OXrate, Open-Xchange wants to make partnering for new SaaS partners even easier.
