Enterprise search is becoming increasingly more relevant, “serving as a core underpinning of some of the world's most successful Web sites, tools for call center enablement, product life cycle management solutions, and even government intelligence,” according to Webinar officials.
The featured guest is Leslie Owens, Senior Analyst at Forrester Research (News - Alert), Inc. Owens is a leading expert on enterprise search, semantic tools, information classification, and taxonomies. Prior to joining Forrester, she managed the enterprise search program at Abbott Laboratories where she developed the enterprise search software strategy and guided the selection of ontology management software.
Also presenting will be Tim McLaughlin, President and Co-Founder, Siteworx. As president, McLaughlin sets the vision and overall direction for new product development and partner strategy at Siteworx and collaborates with clients to help them find strategic advantages and to connect the strengths of Siteworx with their business and audience needs.
The panel will address the emergence of search-based applications as a new breed, highly engaging, and functional online experiences, and will share case examples from Kraft, AOL (News - Alert), and the U.S. Department of Defense.
It will also look at the importance of context and user-centric design to enterprise search implementations, discuss advanced techniques for creating engaging and highly-functional enterprise search interfaces and address how enterprise search-based solutions are helping brands reduce costs, improve business process execution, and speed and support company growth.
Arun Chaloori, Technical Solution Specialist, Microsoft (News - Alert) Digital Marketing Platform Group, will be a presenter as well. Chaloori has more than five years of experience in enterprise search. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was an independent consultant for 10+ years, providing services in Supply Chain Solutions, Middleware, and Portal Platform technologies for Fortune 1000 companies serving customers including NEC (News - Alert), Fidelity Investments, Travellers Insurance, and CVS.
