Verecloud, a developer of the Cloudwrangler Marketplace and a cloud server provider through Microsoft hosted Exchange, an app store for businesses, announced that it has been selected as one of Gartner's (News - Alert) companies in "Who's Who in Cloud Services Brokerage.”
Verecloud's Cloudwrangler app store is able to integrate SaaS (News - Alert) offerings from multiple providers, so business can manage and end-users can easily access the app store.
Verecloud's enabling platform provides SMBs with cloud capabilities. After building a cloud integration and marketplace platform for the telecom industry, Verecloud shifted focus and launched the platform as Cloudwrangler on August 2, 2011 selling direct to SMBs.
"Verecloud built the Cloudwrangler platform to be a carrier-grade cloud service brokerage for high throughput and low latency transaction processing, which allows us as a cloud services broker to create innovative offerings,” said Russell Wurth, vice president of Product Strategy for Verecloud, in a statement.
“There's a huge opportunity for the currently underserved SMB market when it comes to cloud services, and telecoms, including cable and wireless carriers as well as web portals and other service providers, are not capitalizing on it because they are simply not nimble enough to deal with the rapidly emerging opportunities," Wurth added.
Verecloud operates its own marketplace with aggregated provisioning, billing, management and integration of multiple cloud providers.
Recently, Verecloud announced the launch of its promotion, offering 12,000 Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange 2010 accounts for free for an entire year, on a first come, first served basis.
The promotion is available to small and medium size businesses (SMBs) nationally with between 10 and 500 employees. Already, more than 6,000 of the seats have been claimed after a private shopping opportunity for members of the Spiceworks (News - Alert) community.
