Ipanema Ensures Success of Enterprise VoIP, Videoconferencing and Telepresence

Videoconferencing and IP Telephony depend on WAN capabilities using the same protocol set for carrying data, using Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP). Being real-time by nature applications using RTP generates network flows which are sensitive to network delay, loss and jitter, said Ipanema (News - Alert).

Application performance is optimized by the Ipanema system eliminating uncertainty in both voice and video traffic without requiring static bandwidth reservations for different traffic types. Also the system’s optimization mechanisms offer required bandwidth for each active user without delay, jitter and loss.
Ipanema’s Application Quality Score (AQS) ensures precise reporting on the WAN contribution to the quality of experience. Including one way delay, loss and jitter and other network impairments the AQS        offers perfect video quality monitoring. Also the Rightsizing capability of Ipanema system delivers accurate information on the real bandwidth requirements for critical business applications like voice and video flows.
Voice, video and other business critical applications’ performance is ensured across the whole converged WAN whatever happens in the network. The network is aligned with the business goals of the company irrespective of the application mix and traffic matrix complexity assured Ipanema.
