Austin-based StarView has announced it is helping Internet America provide VoIP and Hosted VoIP PBX (News - Alert) services to its embedded customer base throughout Texas and to new residential and business customers nationwide.
Internet America serves many business and residential customers in rural and underserved markets. Ross McAlpine, president and COO of Internet America (News - Alert) noted that customers in these regions have very few communications options and most of which are very fragmented and expensive.
StarView delivers VoIP services by using SIP technology enabling businesses to significantly reduce communications costs and improve efficiency without investing in a new phone system or disrupting business.
McAlpine said that their company aims to provide customers in rural and underserved markets with bundled broadband Internet access and commercial-grade VoIP services. He hopes this will close the digital gap and allow them to operate and compete more effectively.
StarView seems to be the right choice for McAlpine who explained that they were searching for a vendor that could help them provide a high-quality VoIP service that is easy to install, easy to use and trouble free.
Internet America did an extensive market analysis and after comparing the various providers and products decided StarView was the best choice for their organization.
“By combining our products and expertise, we can provide a comprehensive, cost-effective communications solution that hasn’t been available to residential and business customers in smaller markets before,” said Phil Battaglia, StarView’s vice president of sales and marketing.
This alliance has provided Internet America customers with a number of benefits such as low-cost communications. Their customers now get bundled high-speed Internet access and VoIP services for the price many customers pay for satellite Internet alone, say the officials.
The customers can also deploy VoIP using existing telephone equipment or start fresh with a hosted VoIP PBX; enhance productivity and competitiveness with the latest VoIP features and functions; and improve operating efficiencies with one communications provider, one invoice, and one number to call for customer support.
StarView is also offering 24/7 technical support to Internet America customers who can monitor, manage and maintain VoIP service.
