By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

GoIP Global, provider of mobile media services, specializing in connecting brands, enterprises, and local businesses with consumers, has announced that it has unveiled the company’s GO800 and GOBOX  service applications at SXSW (News - Alert) (South by Southwest) this past weekend, the annual event in Austin, Texas.

Giving the details about Go800 service to the attendees, company officials said that for the first 90 days, the service will be enabling voice capabilities for Twitter users.

Following a first come, first serve allotment, registration will be opened to other social networks. Go800 will allow anyone to text a person’s Go800-enabled Twitter name and be connected live without knowing or dialing a phone number. Twitter users across the United States and Canada can register and use the service on the Go800 platform at www.go800corp.com.

Go800 announced that users abroad will be able to reserve their Twitter name for future use with the service. Go800 Starter accounts will be free and will come along with 100 free minutes of usage per month. Higher usage plans are expected to be added soon.

Also, GOBOX is displayed in Mashery's (News - Alert) Suite at SXSW and is being introduced to developers. GOBOX offers an online service for consumers' personal cloud storage and is live at www.gobox.com, offering users to sign up easily. GOBOX's API is available to developers targeting Mashery's network of 95,000 developers. GOBOX's initial goal is to have hundreds of developers using and integrating GOBOX into their online services.

Ike Sutton, CEO of GoIP, commented, "SXSW INTERACTIVE represents Mobile Media Products from industry leaders and new upcoming entrepreneurs. The huge attendance and ongoing publicity shows the growing importance of Mobile Interaction in our lives and productivity.”

Sutton added that GO800 and GOBOX have been created with this vision and will be improved to adapt to this growing technology and they also see tremendous potential in their adaptation in the coming months.

“At GoIP we continue to lead in innovation and continue to seek new products that compliment and expand our Mobile Media presence. To hear more about SXSW text GOIG to 46800," Sutton concluded.

Go800 also offers easily customizable and secure privacy options to protect the identity of customers and their phone numbers. The many privacy options include allowing everyone to contact the user using their Twitter name, turning the service off completely, or only allowing access to trusted contacts via this method. It also enables users to report abuse directly to the Go800 team on its website.
