Aastra reportedly announced that the MX-ONE Telephony Server version 3.2 now supports its line of SIP phones
The MX-ONE entered the Aastra product portfolio through the company’s acquisition of Ericsson’s (News - Alert) Enterprise Communications Business last year, with a set of open-standard SIP telephones. The company says its solutions include: traditional and open standard IP-based networking solutions including; PBX (News - Alert) and IP-PBX communications systems; gateways; telephone terminals; VoIP endpoints; wireless products; and advanced productivity software applications such Unified Communications (News - Alert), Web and Audio Conferencing, and Contact Center solutions.
Aastra’s (News - Alert) Virtual Presence, which provides a remote communication and collaboration solution allowing the sharing of documents, multi-media content and real-time applications, is said to be the first of its kind in SIP-based video communications appliances. Officials say they also introduced the Aastra MBU 400 DECT Mobility solution, which is designed to slot in between the company’s personal mobility solution and their enterprise class SIP DECT (News - Alert) solution, which were previously announced. The solution comprises an access point that has both SIP and analog interfaces, and enables up to three simultaneous SIP calls and one analog call.
All the five models in the 675xi portfolio provide features such as embedded XML browser capability which allows access to customized services and productivity enhancing applications, direct access to an RSS news, an unlimited potential to create custom menus, customized call feature interactions, vertical applications, extensive storage capacity for directories, callers’ lists, superior sound quality, full-duplex speakerphone, Power Over Ethernet (POE) or AC options, etc, and are available at different price points to meet the needs of any organization.
“The 675xi phones provide MX-ONE customers with a wide range of options to meet their feature and pricing needs. The interoperability demonstrates some of the progress Aastra has made toward integrating the MX-ONE into its product portfolio, and is a testimony to Aastra’s commitment of investment protection for our customers and focus on open standards” said Tim Whittington, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Aastra USA Inc.
