Providers of mobile unified communications and collaboration (UCC) software damaka (News - Alert), recently announced the introduction of their collaborative product portfolio with additional video conferencing functionalities to their existing UCC products intended for iPhone (News - Alert) and iTouch appliances.
The damaka range of products is currently compatible on Symbian and Windows Mobile Devices. With this latest launch, the company has significantly cemented its position as the one-stop destination for UCC capabilities for mobile devices.
This release follows the market introduction of some of damaka’s other sought after collaborative functionalities, including the presence, IM and audio application sharing, earlier this year, for the iPhone mobile device. With the latest release, damaka further adds value to its UCC offering for the iPhone as the latest addition assists subscribers in completing video calls over WiFi (News - Alert) and 3G networks. This offering is also reasonably affordable versus other comparable alternatives. It can be integrated as completely hosted and managed by an operator or business, in either one-on-one or current installation models, using a Softswitch or SIP IP PBX (News - Alert) system.
With the damaka mobile UCC application designed for integration onto smartphones and connected to an enterprise IP PBX, subscribers can improve their profitability by reaping the benefits of the enterprise PBX functionalities for the iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile. Due to this enterprises enjoy the freedom of choice and can switch between compatible mobile devices without being tied down on any particular mobile platform. As far as telecom service providers are concerned, damaka mobile UCC supplies them with better communication and collaboration elements for smartphone devices targeted at consumers, while also taking advantage of and building on the current telecom frameworks of the service provider.
With its suite of mobile UCC technology solutions, damaka seeks to fulfill the ever expanding needs for UCC in VoIP operator network, IMS deployments and Enterprises using SIP IP PBX. The offerings provide support for UCC in both one-to-one and conventional deployment models using a Softswitch or SIP IP PBX. The company also supplies Presence, IM, voice, video, file transfer, desktop sharing, Federation (connectivity to Yahoo, MSN, Google and AOL (News - Alert)) and IPTV among other features, all in a user-friendly and virtualized environment for both laptop/desktop and mobile devices.
