FacetCorp, a provider of advanced VoIP PBX (News - Alert) phone systems, has introduced a new FacetPhone version targeted for customers with Apple Mac desktop and portable computers, as well as customers with Mac OS X Server environments.
Officials with FacetCorp (News - Alert) said that the FacetPhone server that was previously been available only on Linux and UNIX platforms has now been released for the Mac OS X Server platform. All of the FacetPhone functionality is included with the Mac Server solution.
According to company officials, customers may choose any of the Mac platforms that support OS X Server Snow Leopard, including the Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro, or Xserve.
However, most customers will need only the cost effective Mac mini for their FacetPhone server.
Company officials said that the FacetPhone IP-PBX business telephone system is a state-of-the-art communications system that is "VoIP from the ground up."
FacetPhone is ideal for businesses with from 20 to 1000 phones, and provides "enterprise-class" features such as visual voice mail, call recording, multiple auto-attendants, ACD queues with full call center and contact center support, conference bridging and enterprise instant messaging among other things.
"At Paradigm Agency, the client is king," said Dorene Scheuer, IT Director, in a statement.
Scheuer said that with high profile musicians as clients, it is critical that they can quickly and easily communicate with the company's agents. All of the company's people are using Macs and having FacetPhone's graphical user interface with all of its "views" into the system has helped to improve not only external communications, but also employee to employee communications.
He said that the FacetPhone system was easily customized for the company's unique needs. And it is great to hear that the FacetPhone server is now also compatible with Mac OS X Server, he added.
"We have been using the FacetPhone IP-PBX for several years now and are thrilled with how we have been able to grow our business around this system," said Andrew White, president of Allied Home Warranty. "Our employees are more efficient and productive, and we are more reachable by our customers enabling us to provide them with better service. We have a lot of people using Macs, and having the FacetPhone graphical user interface available to all of our users, regardless of their workstation type has been particularly helpful. We are pleased to learn that the FacetPhone server will also now be available on Mac OS X Snow Leopard."
