Interact Achieves Broadvox Certification for SPOT Platform

Voice XML provider Interact Incorporated (News - Alert) announced that IP Communications provider Broadvox has certified version 6.14 of Interact’s SPOT Media Platform for interoperability with the BroadvoxGO! SIP Trunking product line. 

According to Interact officials, the SPOT VoiceXML (News - Alert)/CCXML Media Platform 'completed extensive testing and proved to be successful in all aspects.'
It's deployable in VoIP, SIP, TDM or PSTN environments 'or on a variety of hardware platforms,' company officials said, adding that it provides 'feature rich and high density media processing with call control signaling, IP and PSTN connectivity.'
Interact officials said this lets operators 'introduce and deliver voice and data service offerings, including interactive voice response, voice portals, conferencing services, voicemail, unified messaging platforms and prepaid services.'
Earlier this month, TMCnet reported that ESI Systems, a company that designs and manufactures business communications systems and components, was 'now interoperable with Broadvox’s (News - Alert) GO SIP Trunking service.'
ESI and Broadvox can now offer scalable IP communications to SMBs and enterprises. The interoperability now lets ESI (News - Alert) Communications service support Broadvox Go! SIP Trunking ranging from the ESI-50 to the ESI-1000, TMCnet reported.
Doug Boyd, ESI’s president and chief operating officer at the time said, “ESI is excited to receive certification from an industry leader like Broadvox” said in a statement. “Throughout the development of our SIP trunking capabilities, ESI engineers have been working closely with Broadvox to successfully complete the extensive certification process to ensure ‘real-world’ system operation. Broadvox is an acknowledged ITSP leader with a robust network, and we are confident that our customers will appreciate the unparalleled services available from Broadvox.”
Broadvox officials said their certification process encompasses key elements of interoperability 'to ensure real world system operation.
'The core Session Initiation curriculum testing itself comprises over sixty separate elements involving key aspects of call processing, both inbound and outbound,” officials said.
Pete Sandrev, vice president of customer experience at Broadvox, said Interact 'is to be congratulated.'
Founded in 2001, Broadvox sells integrated managed VoIP services to SMB, enterprise, and carrier customers. Interact has been around since 1981.
