Silverpop (News - Alert), a marketing technology provider, recently unveiled two mobile applications that are designed to help marketers easily collect crucial contact information and access mailing reports.
One of the applications developed by Silverpop, Pop-In, supports remote data collection via an iPad, allowing marketers to grow their contact databases while in the field. The other application is Silverpop Engage iPhone (News - Alert) application that offers mobile access to Engage reporting. With just a few taps on their iPhones, Engage users can review important metrics such as recipient count and deliverability statistics for either the most recent mailings or those within a specific date range.
Pop-In allows marketers collect crucial contact information, even when there is no internet service, and later on upload the same to Engage. As soon as an internet connection is established, the data can be synced to Engage. Pop-In's web forms can be customized in advance, allowing the marketing team to control the look and feel as well as the data fields presented.
"While Engage is primarily an online tool, Silverpop doesn't want any of our customers' potential leads to go uncaptured, so we created Pop-In as a tool they can use in situations where a face-to-face interaction is actually the first point of contact," said Bryan Brown, director of product strategy for Silverpop. "Whether on a crowded trade show floor or at the point of sale in a retail situation, a customer simply enters a few fields of data on an iPad to become a new contact in the Engage database."
"As marketers continue to evolve their programs to account for the mobile habits of their customers and prospects, they also need the ability to monitor their mailings anytime, anywhere," Brown added. "By using these new mobile tools, Silverpop customers will have the best of both worlds - sophisticated technology that drives results without adding unnecessary complexity."
