Nectar's New Capabilities Proactively Monitor Cloud-Hosted and On-premises Microsoft Products

By integrating a wide range of communications and other services, unified communications (UC) is making it possible for organizations to have a single platform that can bring all the resources together. With so much technology at play, having an effective monitoring solution ensures each application is working properly. Nectar Services Corp., provider of proactive network monitoring and diagnostics software for the UC industry, has announced new capabilities to proactively monitor cloud-hosted and on premises Microsoft solutions.

According to Nectar (News - Alert), the new and enhanced capabilities will allow service providers and enterprise customers to proactively monitor cloud-hosted and on-premises Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange environments. It will also make performance metrics available for Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 deployments.

The Nectar Unified Communications Management Platform (UCMP), monitors critical application performance, service availability metrics and overall server and infrastructure health for Microsoft Office 365 applications, as well as other vendors. It gives enterprise businesses and service providers an effective tool for managing their voice, video, Web collaboration applications, systems and networks.

As a comprehensive multi-vendor UC monitoring and diagnostics solution, UCMP has an architecture-based, vendor-agnostic approach with a holistic infrastructure for inventory, monitoring, alarming, root-cause-analysis, capacity and performance management across global IP communications systems.

The UCMP architecture has four components built to accommodate a range of business segments, they are:
