Microsoft Lync Solution Week in Review

Now that the week is over, check out some of the stories you might have missed this week in Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync solution news.


VNG revealed its plans to help increase business efficiency and communications by incorporating Microsoft Lync 2013 as a way for its clients to collaborate. VNG said it plans to use Lync as a way for its employees to communication via voice, audio, e-mail, phone, video and more.

“Thanks to the deployment of technology platforms and solutions of Microsoft Lync, VNG has been able to maintain business operations with high productivity while ensuring the safety and security of information," said Nguyen Thanh Phong, director of IT Department at VNG, in a statement.

Another company looking at increasing its work with Microsoft is SoundConnect. The company, which helps international and domestic businesses connect to one another though audio and web conferencing solutions, will be offering a new program designed to help associates boost their summer sales.

In a statement, Tom Sullivan, president of SoundConnect, said, "We are excited to roll out this promotional incentive to our partners as they are key to our growth and success. SoundConnect’s primary goal is to be the market leader in providing tools and knowledge that enable our partners to achieve their goals and objectives. We accomplish this by offering more solutions, exceptional customer service and support, outstanding account management, the latest innovation, being reliable as well as very experienced in the indirect channel.”

The associates will be on hand to help companies with the new unified communications platform.

Finally, Aspect (News - Alert) Software announced that it too has integrated its unified IP with Microsoft Lync Server 2013. The customer interaction management, workforce optimization and back-office solutions provider, has developed its Aspect Unified IP with Microsoft capabilities.

"We're excited to continue our partnership with Microsoft and share the benefits provided by Lync Server 2013 with current and future customers," said Chris Koziol, president and general manager of Interaction Management at Aspect. "Our relationship and our competencies with Microsoft continue to be the driving force behind many of the innovations we bring to market, enabling our customers to serve today's consumers in ways that improve the customer experience and the company's bottom line."
