CradlePoint (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-managed, 3G/4G wireless networking solutions, has enhanced the analytics capabilities of its enterprise cloud manager - the company’s network management and application platform.
George Mulhern, CEO and chairman of the board at CradlePoint said, “As enterprises increase application rollouts to improve operations and expand customer engagement, the network has become a key business enabler.”
Serving the needs of a distributed enterprise, the enhancements were made by CradlePoint to help network administrators to easily aggregate dashboard views of distributed networks. This will enable them to identify problems and optimize WAN traffic, thereby enhancing network performance at the edge.
The network analytics will be displayed in dashboards that feature charts and graphs that provide all necessary details in a single view in a central location. This will help network administrators to gain data usage knowledge in the network and proactively react to threats.
The enterprise cloud manager will enable them to resolve network issues and configure devices in groups or individually. They can make updates to firmware, monitor device status in real-time, set proactive alerts, manage network security and track interference information.
“With IT organizations working hard to expand network services across large-scale deployments, easy-to-use network analytics are critical to develop strategies for WAN optimization and ultimately improve the quality of experience at the edge. CradlePoint’s network analytics provide large, distributed enterprises with the intelligence they need to manage performance, reliability, and costs,” Mulhern added.
CradlePoint has also introduced a new advanced edge networking solution, the AER 2100. The solution features advanced routing, WAN diversity, advanced security, and 802.11ac high performance Wi-Fi. The new platform can be deployed and managed using CradlePoint enterprise cloud manager, explained officials.
The CradlePoint AER 2100 can support and scale to the unique networking needs of the distributed enterprise. For retailers in particular, the CradlePoint AER 2100 provides intelligent management of converged wired and wireless networks enabling a highly available “connected retail experience” that is in great demand among consumers.
