Pyhtila also held several senior management positions at Verscend, including president of the Enterprise Analytics division. He was a McKinsey & Company manager for several years and started his career as a hardware engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Pyhtila holds a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke University, a master's in electrical engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
