Qorvo Helps with Next Generation Communications as Part of China Mobile 5G Innovation Center

Telecom operators around the world are eagerly awaiting 5G technology because of the potential this new network will provide in terms of efficiency and revenue-generating opportunities. A report by Strategy Analytics (News - Alert) has revealed there will be 690 million 5G connections by 2025, and a large number of these connections will be in the Chinese market. In order to prepare for this eventuality, an alliance created to develop 5G solutions called the China Mobile 5G Innovation Center is pushing the country to develop 5G end-to-end capabilities. It is forming partnerships for next generation communications and applications across several different industry sectors. The latest company to join the center is Qorvo, the first RF supplier to become a member.

The company addresses the needs of operators with complex deployments in global markets for advance wireless devices, wired and wireless network along with defense radar and communications. It is this competitive strength as well as being a delegate to 3GPP that has led China Mobile (News - Alert) 5G Innovation Center to accept Qorvo’s membership. The company has a wide range of 5G initiatives and has supported more than twenty 5G field trials with global wireless infrastructure companies in the development of next generation communications, which will include self-driving cars, industrial connectivity and virtual reality as part of this alliance.
