The telecommunications industry is populated by companies that provide a wide range of services for many different segments. While some companies specialize in a particular product or service, some like Relish address a region. In the case of this UK company, it is Central London and the highly connected and tech savvy population of the area. With its 4G and wireless networks, Relish has done away with the hassle of landline services to deliver home and business broadband that are up and running the very next day. The new indoor LTE (News - Alert) hub it will be providing its customers comes as part of a partnership between Verve Connect and Sequans Communications by using the 3.5 GHz spectrum band to deliver next generation communications services.
Verve Connect uses 3.5 GHz 4G Wi-Fi hubs, mobile handsets, and hotspots to deliver connectivity and entertainment everywhere by designing and building devices for major brands and creating mobile broadband for consumers and businesses. The company works with UK and European device markets across a number of multinational telecom providers. With this partnership, it is going to be using Sequans Communications (News - Alert)' single-mode 4G LTE semiconductor solutions for broadband data devices and the Internet of Things (IoT) to deliver next generations communications services for Relish.
The VH510B is a LTE band 42/43 wireless indoor hub that is going to be using the 3.5 GHz spectrum band to deliver high-speed LTE and Wi-Fi data service to consumer and business users. This will allow users to migrate from 3G to 4G and 4G+ and be able to access next generation communications services with cutting-edge data performance, this according to Relish.
“We are very proud to be partnering with Sequans, a global leader in 3.5 GHz band support and the leading provider of single-mode LTE chipset solutions to wireless device manufacturers worldwide. Our partnership was formed to deliver state-of-the-art consumer devices, but is also based on our shared values of reliability and responsiveness,” said Wu Sa, Verve Connect Managing Director.
The indoor hub is a Cat 4 LTE with download speeds of 150Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps. It uses TDD-LTE B42/B43 band, 2 LTE main antenna and LTE auxiliary antenna with a 5 dBi gain. For WAN applications, it provides IEEE (News - Alert) 802.11b/g/n for up to 32 users with Multi SSID, separated encryption and WPS.
“We are pleased to work with Verve Connect to deliver this high performance wireless hub to Relish customers. Our collaboration has yielded a very powerful data device that will provide customers of our telco partners the very latest in broadband service,” said Hugues Waldburger, head of Sequans’ Broadband business unit.
Verve Connect and Sequans have also announced this collaboration will extend to an outdoor 3.5 GHz hub, and they are inviting potential partners to take advantage of the technology.
