CompanionLink Allows Sync, Backup for PC to Google

CompanionLink Software , a provider of data synchronization solutions for mobile phones and CRM software and services, announces two-way sync and backup between PC and Google (News - Alert).
The software allows people to sync contacts, calendar and tasks from the PC to any Google, Gmail, or Google Apps account. Google also provides wireless sync with smartphone and tablet platforms, including Apple (News - Alert) iPhone and iPad, Android, BlackBerry, Palm webOS, and Windows Phone devices.
In addition, the Google sync software from CompanionLink can be used to back up PC data to the cloud. Once data is synced to Google, it is accessible virtually anywhere. Changes made in Google will sync back to the PC through CompanionLink. Two-way sync is fully supported to make changes to data anywhere.
Once the PC data is in Google, it is possible to update contacts and calendar anywhere by just logging in to the Google account. CompanionLink can be left running in the background on the PC and it will automatically sync any changes made from the Google account back to the PC.
CompanionLink’s sync with Google is compatible with PC software such as Microsoft Outlook , Sage ACT!, IBM Lotus Notes, Palm Desktop, Novell (News - Alert) GroupWise, Salesforce CRM, and Time & Chaos. CompanionLink also supports direct PC sync with Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Palm webOS and Windows Mobile devices.
Also, CompanionLink Software offers two-way PC sync with new Android devices, announced at CES (News - Alert) 2011. CompanionLink will sync Outlook contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with Android devices via USB, Wi-Fi, and secure hosted wireless sync. New Android devices supported by CompanionLink will include the HTCThunderBolt, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola DROID BIONIC, LG Optimus 2X, LG Revolution, HTC Inspire 4G, Samsung (News - Alert) Infuse 4G, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and more.
