NGS Introduces SaaS Program for Business Partners

New Generation Software, (NGS) has launched the NGS Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) Collaboration Program designed to enable Business Partners to provide small- to mid-sized customers with NGS-IQ business intelligence (BI) and/or Concert Series financial management solutions.

At present, NGS is recruiting Business Partners with IBM (News - Alert) and industry-specific skills in areas such as finance, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Officials said that the Business Partner can be an ISV with its own application software, a traditional IBM hardware reseller looking to develop a new line of business, or a management consulting firm that understands the needs of a particular industry.
The program offers “low start-up costs and comprehensive education” to Business Partners who host the NGS solutions and use them to provide customers with BI and/or financial management services.
“Our goal is to make it easy for these companies to receive the benefit of our BI and financial solutions by working with a Business Partner who understands their industry and/or is located nearby,” said Bill Langston, director of marketing and Channel Development at NGS.
He also said that by not having to bring software, hardware and trained staff in-house, the customer’s start-up cost, staffing and training commitment are substantially reduced. He added: “It opens doors for the Business Partner and enables NGS to reach new customers who would not typically be able to use our solutions.”
Officials said that the company anticipates that Business Partners will generate long-term revenue as their customers realize the benefits of having access to software and the expertise of the Business Partner's staff.
Moreover, NGS Business Partners also have the option of leveraging NGS’ Decision Assist - Financial Performance, Business Performance, and Healthcare solutions.
These data warehouse and data mart models provide a foundation for deployment of a customized BI solution that features a Web portal interface, ready-to-use performance dashboards, analytics and reports.
