Convergys Adds More Contact Centers in the Philippines

Relationship management provider Convergys (News - Alert) Corporation has announced its expanding its operations in the Philippines with the addition of 5 new contact centers in the country.
The new integrated contact centers, which will provide both general support and advanced technical services, will bring the total number of sites in the country to 14.
The call centers will provide voice calling, e-mail, Web chat and back office application and document processing and will have the ability to employ an additional 7,000 individuals at capacity, to bring the company's in-country employment totals to approximately 20,000.

Of the 5 new call centers, 3 will be located in Metro Manila and the 2 in Santa Rosa, Laguna; and Cebu City.

Convergys also announced today a partnership with Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) to allow Alcatel-Lucent to integrate Convergys Infinys applications into their Business Support System (BSS) solution to offer service providers a single BSS solution for today's service needs.
