NFP Enlists ShoreTel's Sky Cloud Unified Communications Services Platform

Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) has got a strong foothold among enterprises due to various benefits it offers. Many financial and insurance firms worldwide too have embraced UC, as it allows them to do more for less in an efficient way, while still satisfying their customer as well as business commitments.

One among many insurance and wealth management services provider to have embraced UC is National Financial Partners Corp. (NFP).

Recently, NFP enlisted ShoreTel’s (News - Alert) Sky solution for its voice and unified communications requirements.

ShoreTel is a Sunnyvale, California-based provider of simple IP (Internet protocol) phone systems and unified communications solutions. Its Sky is an on-premises IP-PBX (News - Alert) solution and cloud-based hosted phone system that improves productivity.

As an insurance and wealth management businesses provider offering diversified advisory and brokerage services, NFP was in need of an UC solution that would provide the flexibility to facilitate communications across its offices, throughout the U.S. and in Canada and Puerto Rico.

The Sky solution from ShoreTel, to be deployed by NFP, is a hosted VoIP and cloud unified communications services platform.  It is designed for enterprises seeking a secure, managed business communications solution with no capital investment.

ShoreTel’s Sky platform offers enterprises with hosted cloud based telephone systems, hosted VoIP PBX, hosted UC, and hosted contact centers services. These services provide the flexibility to deploy the communications solution that meets key requirements quickly and efficiently.

According to sources, NFP will deploy the solution during a phased rollout across locations, working with ShoreTel to create a simple, repeatable implementation and training process.
