TalkSwitch, a developer of phone systems for small business, announced the launch of a new TalkSwitch (News - Alert) PowerPack, Concero Console, and phone system management software 6.50 with numerous enhancements to improve performance.

In order to increase the capacity of a TalkSwitch phone system, TalkSwitch PowerPack assists small businesses to have capacity for 8 IP extensions, six remote extensions, 11 auto attendants and 10 voicemail broadcast groups.

The PowerPack is included free with every new 400vs-series and 800vs-series system. It can also be purchased separately for use with other TalkSwitch systems for $299. A 4-line TalkSwitch with a PowerPack has capacity for 24 extensions. A 4-line TalkSwitch is priced at $1295, company officials said.

The company is offering all TalkSwitch phone systems and complementary products through authorized TalkSwitch distributors and resellers.

“Since 1990, we've focused 100 percent on delivering small businesses the most owner-friendly and value-packed phone systems. These latest releases confirm that commitment and set the stage for the next wave of development,” said Jan Scheeren, president and CEO, TalkSwitch, in a statement.

“We've completely re-engineered our management software, and the new PowerPack lets TalkSwitch owners grow without adding costly new hardware,” Scheeren added.

With the TalkSwitch management software 6.50, small businesses can benefit from its flexibility, more features and audio and improved diagnostic tools. The upgrade solution also offers usability refinements like a flexible numbering plan for extensions and ring groups, more call handling options, enhanced line optimization and the new Click-to-Dial utility.

The Concero Console offers several benefits to small businesses. It gives users the power to see and control calls right on their PC. Concero Console is an upgraded version of the original TalkSwitch Attendant Console, with new functionalities such as call logging, an integrated phone book with click-to-dial and improved chat readability.

Recently, TalkSwitch announced that it appointed ComBiz as the official distributor for the Caribbean region. ComBiz will distribute the TalkSwitch IP PBX phone systems.
