Service provider Snap has decided to turn to Metaswitch Networks to help grow its business. Snap will be using Metaswitch’s MetaSphere Hosted Business Services solution to reach new customers, produce more business and provide more local support.
Snap, based out of New Zealand, is a telecommunications provider that creates customized solutions for enterprises, government, small business, schools and other local residents throughout New Zealand. The new deployment of MetaSphere Hosted Business Services solution will provide additional support for Snap locally and make the growth of the company that much easier.
"We are targeting significant growth over the course of 2013, with a number of hosted business services lined up for our business and residential customers," explains Mark Petrie, CEO of Snap.
"We also intend to enhance our SIP trunking solutions and provide fiber-based offerings to business and residential customers as part of New Zealand's Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) rollout. To fulfill these requirements, we needed an architectural platform that could not only scale, but give us the ability to offer a wider variety of solutions easily and efficiently. Metaswitch gives us that," he added.
David Ashby, vice president of Asia Pacific sales at Metaswitch, agreed adding that it’s nice to be working with Snap. "Snap is a very creative organization with a strong focus on understanding and serving the needs of their customers," said Ashby. "We are very pleased Snap has chosen to deploy Metaswitch technology to advance their corporate goals."
This is the second major announcement to come from Metaswitch this week. The company also announced it has signed on as a Diamond Sponsor for the Software Telco Congress.
"The Software Telco Congress is the global meeting place for telecom's move to NFV and virtualized communications service provider solutions of the future," said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO of TMC. "The industry expertise that Metaswitch Networks brings to the table will be a great addition to the Software Telco agenda."
The event will be held in Santa Clara, Calif. in November.
