Companies reportedly can now use their IP phones for time and attendance tracking, with the help of a unique Web-based solution by Trident Internet Systems. “ExtendTime” is a labor management tool that eliminates the manual tracking of labor data.
The weakening economy has forced companies to save money in every possible way. Apart from saving money, methods are also being devised to enhance the efficiency level of workers and increase productivity. Time and attendance of labors is usually managed by employees and it takes lots of time and effort.
With ExtendTime, there’s no need to calculate timesheets and manage employee scheduling and attendance; the information can be transmitted automatically to companies’ payroll systems. Since the system operates in a familiar online environment, every tier of the organization, from entry level-staff to executive management, will feel comfortable navigating and operating it.
“Because payroll comprises the largest operating expense in a company, accurate and efficient time tracking is critical to the bottom line,” says Said Khosrowshahi, president of Trident. “While it can seem daunting to replace outdated systems and manual practices with new technologies, this is the path to accurate time tracking and elimination of overpayments.”

Making the labor data available to managers on a real-time basis, it is immediately stored in ExtendTime’s database. There is a very good interface provided for a multitude of HRMS, payroll, financial, accounting and ERP systems, which will benefit the companies, says Trident.
With the help of ExtendTime, Supervisors and Management can know exactly how their payroll dollars are being spent and where labor resources are being engaged.
Trident is not alone in offering time and labor tracking solutions. Recently, HourDoc, a time management technology company announced the re-launch of its HourDoc.com Time and Labor Management platform. HourDoc.com is an easy-to-use, web-based time and labor tracking system that provides companies advanced online tools to monitor and manage their employees.
